Richmond Photos

Over the summer, Chris and I took a trip down to Richmond, VA to visit our friend Taylor, and we bought a disposable camera to document the trip. We packed a lot into three days, including a pitstop in Connecticut to see Inside Out, a swim in the James River, and a show with my roommate Alex's band Kal Marks, who happened to be hitting up Richmond that weekend during their summer tour. Of course, while pharmacies still sell disposable cameras, they no longer offer film printing, so it took me a while to get around to printing these. Luckily Boston has Color Tek, a go-to for any photo related needs, and they offer 24 hour printing.

I had several film cameras as a kid before getting my first digital camera, and getting the envelope with the Richmond photos back made me miss the thrill of film photography; sure, not every photo comes out, and you don't have the immediate satisfaction of seeing results, but the delayed reveal of those fleeting memories makes up for it. It was quite fun to flip through everything six months later and relive the trip.
